Antique Hmong flintlock of 8 dos with silver barrel bands. This antique is absolutely beautiful, with a heavy bull barrel in near perfect condition. The phaj leej hauv (lock/action) exhibits fine traditional engravings on the flashpan, and still sparks very well. A gun this size would be traditionally used to shoot bullets of around 300 grains.
This flintlock has an octagonal barrel and beautiful stock made from figured wood. The stock has been oiled and sealed. This will includes lub tsuam pob, ciab mes, zeb ntais, and txoj hlua rub tus ncauj qa. Lub tsuam pob is newly made from very fine rabbit pelt.
Barrel and lock are in great working condition; the frizzen sparks very well. This flintlock works very reliably and has been testfired. Recommended maximum load of 100 grains of blackpowder only.
