Phom 4 Dos Txhais (5+ dos total) | 42 Caliber

Antique Hmong firearm of 4 dos txhais—measuring only the barrel. Circa 1900, however the bands, thi, are likely newer–dating to midcentury–forged from either aluminum and/or tin. These bands are comparatively thick, meaning they were made from melted aluminum/tin, before the masse arrival of canned aluminium beverages to Southeast Asia. Stock is made from beautiful wood with burl/figuring—highly sought after in all woodworking, not just by Hmong woodworkers. Likely of a subpecies of Asian rosewood or bloodwood. Tsuam pob included is new and made from rabbit fur.

 

Barrel is in flawless condition and antique is in overall amazing condition, considering its age. This flintlock still works and has been testfired. Recommended load of 40grains of blackpowder only.
