Phom 6 Dos Txhais (7+ dos total) | 50 Caliber
Very rare antique Hmong firearm of 6 dos txhais—measuring only the barrel. What makes this antique rare is it is 50 caliber. Hmong gunsmiths rarely made guns in this large of a caliber, but rather opted to make very long barrels in lieu of large calibers. Circa 1900, with 1 original brass alloy thi and 5 newly forged thi which have been antiqued to match the color of the original. Stock is made from stunning burly/figured wood. This is legal for big game all across the USA, and I debated for many hours to keep it for myself, but have decided to sell it.
Barrel is in great condition and has been newly reblued. Antique is in overall amazing, near flawless condition, considering its age. This flintlock still works very well and has been testfired. Recommended maximum load of 90 grains of blackpowder.
Length of barrel: 42.25 inches (~6.5 dos)
Length overall: 49 inches (~8 dos)
Caliber: 50
Weight: 5 lbs. 1.1 oz.
As with all antiques we sell, pictures show the actual item you will receive—there is only one available.
