Phom 6 Dos Txhais | 30 Caliber

Phom 6 Dos Txhais | 30 Caliber

Antique Hmong firearm of 6 dos txhais with a round barrel in great shape. Beautifully fitted antiqued brass barrel bands, and includes lub tsuam pob, ciab meszeb ntais, and txoj hlua rub tus ncauj qa

Barrel is in great shape with minimal rust. The flashhole (qhov meej) on the barrel is a bit larger than on new flintlocks, due to its age and from normal wear and tear. This hole is also inset about ⅛ inches into the barrel, indicating that it might have been converted into a caplock gun at some point in its lifetime. This all indicates a rich long history to this flintlock. The lock looks relatively new in comparison to the barrel with even newer forged frizzen. This antique is in great overally working condition and sparks very well; works reliably and has been testfired. Recommended maximum load of 40 grains of blackpowder only.

Length of barrel: 44.25 inches (~5+ dos)

Length overall: 50 inches (~6+ dos)

Caliber: 30

Weight: 4 lbs. 5 oz.

Flintlocks are considered "Antique Firearms," and not "Guns," by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and under the Federal Gun Control Act of 1968, and thus are federally unregulated. Therefore, you do not need any paperwork nor background checks for purchase. However, this does NOT apply in the jurisdictions of New Jersey, Illinois, Washington D.C. and New York City, where flintlocks are, per local law, considered "Guns" and thus must be registered. Therefore, we cannot ship to you if you live in New Jersey, Illinois, Washington D.C. or NYC—any orders to a home address in these jurisdictions will automatically be cancelled and refunded. As a disclaimer, please check your local ordinances and statutes to ensure compliance with all laws. We do not sell outside of the United States—all international orders will be automatically cancelled and refunded.
